FOUNTAIN HILLS YOUTH THEATER RECEIVES GRANT
FROM WELLS FARGO COMMUNITY BANKING

Susan Simper, North East Valley Market President for Wells Fargo Community Banking, was delighted to present Val Stasik, Executive Director for the Fountain Hills Community Theater and Pat Druckman FHCT Executive Board member, with a check for $4940.00 in support of the FHCT Youth Theater program. The funds will go toward the many costs associated with producing five Youth Theater productions for the current season.

Since the launch of the Youth Theater Program in 2002, it has received 74 AriZoni nominations and 22 AriZoni Awards for Theater Excellence. Mr. Ross Collins, Youth Artistic Director, received two AriZoni awards for original plays which he both wrote and directed. Mr. Collins was also instrumental in developing the YABOY productions (Young Actors Benefiting Other Youth) program at FHCT. This year's YABOY production The JellyBean Conspiracy! shared its revenues with the local Special Olympics program and the ARC of Tempe.

Thus far, the FHCT Youth Theater has worked with and shared revenues with Home-Based Youth Services, The Center for the Blind, Teen Lifeline, and EMPACT Suicide Prevention Center. Wells Fargo chose the FHCT Youth Theater Program for sponsorship because of its focus on excellence, and its outreach to other nonprofit organizations providing services to youth and families in our community.
